Ultrasonography and computed tomography of the liver. 1980

H C Yeh, and J G Rabinowitz

Both CT scanning and ultrasonography are diagnostic modalities of choice for the evaluation of the liver. The physical principles of these studies differ and, therefore, so do the techniques used and the information provided. A comparison of the results obtained from each of them in the investigation of such processes as jaundice, tumors, hematomas, and diffuse parenchymal disease is offered.
