A clinical follow-up of the pes anserinus transplantation for chronic anteromedial rotatory instability of the knee. 1978

L J Unverferth, and M I Olix, and W F Ketterer

Twenty-seven patients with chronic anteromedial rotatory instability were treated by pes anserinus transplant with an 85% satisfactory result. Muscle rehabilitation is absolutely essential for a good result. Delay of surgery by prolonged conservative management may contribute to the development of degenerative changes in the medial compartment.
