Iu P Nikitin, and V V Gafarov

Epidemiological study of myocardial infarction morbidity rate was conducted according to the WHO standard program "Acute Myocardial Infarction Registers" for 12 months in one of the Novosibirsk regions. A relatively high disease rate was registered among the 20 to 65-year-old population group, 2.56 cases per 1,000 population. Work carried out according to this program makes it possible to improve considerably the organization of medical aid to patients with myocardial infarction, particularly in the prehospital stage.
