[Blood coagulation changes in hypo- and hypertensive neurocirculatory dystonia under the influence of physical load]. 1980

G A Pochechueva, and L L Orlov, and R S Ziiadulaeva

The coagulogram, factor XII and fibrinolytic activity of blood were studied in 90 patients with hypotension, 30 patients with hypertension and in 23 healthy individuals under the effect of physical exercise on a bicycle ergometer. In patients with hypotension, the initial moderate increase in the blood coagulative properties was attended by intensification of the anticoagulation system. Physical exercise revealed the predominance of the coagulation system over the anticoagulation system in patients with hypotension. Analysis of the clinical course of hypotension showed a tendency towards hypercoagulation in the crisis, labile and transitory forms of the disease. A permanently low BP does not induce marked deviations in the blood system.

UI MeSH Term Description Entries
D006973 Hypertension Persistently high systemic arterial BLOOD PRESSURE. Based on multiple readings (BLOOD PRESSURE DETERMINATION), hypertension is currently defined as when SYSTOLIC PRESSURE is consistently greater than 140 mm Hg or when DIASTOLIC PRESSURE is consistently 90 mm Hg or more. Blood Pressure, High,Blood Pressures, High,High Blood Pressure,High Blood Pressures
D007022 Hypotension Abnormally low BLOOD PRESSURE that can result in inadequate blood flow to the brain and other vital organs. Common symptom is DIZZINESS but greater negative impacts on the body occur when there is prolonged depravation of oxygen and nutrients. D008297 Male Males
D008875 Middle Aged An adult aged 45 - 64 years. Middle Age
D009449 Neurocirculatory Asthenia A clinical syndrome characterized by palpitation, SHORTNESS OF BREATH, labored breathing, subjective complaints of effort and discomfort, all following slight PHYSICAL EXERTION. Other symptoms may be DIZZINESS, tremulousness, SWEATING, and INSOMNIA. Neurocirculatory asthenia is most typically seen as a form of anxiety disorder.
