[Radioimmune determination of the myoglobin concentration in ischemic heart disease]. 1980

The serum myoblobin concentration was studied by radioimmunoassay in healthy individuals and in patients with transmural, macrofocal (non-penetrating) and diffuse subendocardial myocardial infarction and chronic ischemic heart disease. The data obtained evidence that marked increase in the blood myoglobin concentration occurs on the first day of the disease in patients with myocardial infarction. Similarly directed shifts in patients with exacerbation of chronic ischemic heart disease are moderate and do no occur in all cases.
