[Empirical investigations on the position of the therapist in group psychotherapy]. 1978

D Feldes, and R Hochauf

A new sociometric approach has been used to objectify the relative position of the therapeutist in group psychotherapy through the use of such parameters as valency and potency. The method described in this paper may be used for determining the course of therapy and provides information about the proper functioning of the group and the influence of the therapeutist upon the patients participating in psychotherapy. This allows undesirable effects to be corrected.
