[Radiographic findings of joint prostheses in the hand and wrist (author's transl)]. 1980

G Galeazzi, and H C Meuli

The radiographic diagnosis of normal and abnormal findings following total joint replacement of joints at the wrist, fingers and carpal bones is presented and discussed. Knowledge of the surgically wanted and/or achieved position of the implanted material and its relation to the neighboring bone is essential for proper radiologic evaluation of possible complications, such as infection, loosening, luxation or subluxation and fracture.
