[Morphology of the ductus arteriosus botalli in various periods of human life (author's transl)]. 1980

L Plank

The orthology of the ductus arteriosus was studied in a group of 52 cases (from the 5-months old fetus up to a 90 years old man). The prenatal preparation for closure of the ductus as well as postnatal changes and their morphological pictures are described. The primary intimal proliferation appears prenatally. The muscular contraction and secondary intimal proliferation participate in the postnatal closure.
