The results of intracapsular cataract extraction with a Binkhorst iris clip lens implant 34 to 40 months after surgery. 1980

N S Jaffe, and H M Clayman, and M S Jaffe, and D S Light

A series of 300 consecutive intracapsular cataract extractions with a Binkhorst iris clip lens implant was evaluated 34 to 40 months after surgery, except for those patients who died before this time (30 patients) and those lost to follow-up (13 patients). Eighty-eight percent of the 257 patients achieved 20/40 or better visual acuity. The results were similar to those series previously reported by the authors where the final examination time for each patient was not uniform.
