Pressure measurements: device for obtaining readouts from multiple sites using pneumatic transducers. 1980

W W Mayo-Smith

Single, pneumatic air-cell pressure transducers, which measure relative pressures at the patient-cushion interface, are used frequently to fit and prescribe wheelchair cushions. A new manifold device has been designed to permit attachment of five transducers to a single readout system. As a result, readings can be taken at multiple sites without moving the patient to reposition the transducer.
