Photofluorographic gastric examinations have been done on a total of 6931 persons in Chokai Village, Akita. On an average 25% of all examinees were advised for precise examination using UGIS and endoscopy. Early gastric carcinoma was found in 12 cases among them, with a detection rate of 0,29%.
