[Balint groups in institutions]. 1980

A Drees

Institutional Balint-groups are described as an optimal instrument for understanding and solving psychodynamic problems in interactions of the doctor-patients-relationship and of team-problems in wards with dying and dialysis-patients. In the consultation-liaison function of psychosomatics in medicine Balint-groups are optimal for transmitting and translating psychoanalytic knowledge and skill in training the somatic oriented physicians to be aware of, to understand and to solve interaction problems by themselves.
