Analysis of the regularity of seasonal changes in physiological age of adult ticks of I. persulcatus has shown that this regularity is described quite satisfactorily by the asymptotic function, by means of which age can be estimated during season for any time. Changes in the age composition of active ticks are associated with the seasonal fluctuations in their abundance. Due to this connection fluctuations in the seasonal abundance of active individuals can be foreseen and evaluated retrospectively by their age composition and conversely age by seasonal fluctuations in ticks' abundance.
