[Combined passive and intermittent active motion treatment after flexor tendon suture]. 1995

In a prospective follow-up study 87 patients with flexor tendon repairs were examined. Depending on general and specific individual risk-factors, postoperative management consisted of immobilisation (22 patients), dynamic splinting (32 patients) and intermittent active treatment (33 patients). Based on the selective criteria, the postoperative combined passive and intermittent active treatment leads to an improvement of functional results.
