Replacement of congenitally missing lateral incisors with ceramic resin-bonded fixed partial dentures. 1995

Congenital absence of teeth may accompany palatal clefts; various replacements are available and include conventional fixed partial dentures (FPDs), implant-supported artificial crowns, and resin-bonded FDPs. Orthodontic and restorative dentistry consultations are essential for appropriate treatment. The recent introduction of an all-ceramic resin-bonded FPD provides an esthetic prosthesis.
