In the group of 161 patients with allergic bronchial asthma, a chronic obstruction in the respiratory ways was diagnosed in 85 cases (52%), and reversible in 76 cases (48%). An unexpectedly high percentage of obstruction in the respiratory ways among the patients is interpreted as a result of continued or frequently repeated exposure to allergens, air pollution and respiratory infection. For prevalence of chronic obstruction in the airways it is important to reach an early diagnosis, preventive measures, an appropriate and everyday therapy, regular control of the lung function, as well as mutual cooperation of the patient and physician.
