Preservation of plaque-forming cells by means of deep freezing. 1976

Mouse plaque-forming cells were kept at--196 degrees C for different periods of time up to 37 weeks. The decrease in cell number occurring during the storage was found to be in no correlation with the length of the storage time. The cryoprotective effectiveness of dimethyl sulphoxide upon survival of cells was equal for concentrations ranging from 5-15%.
