Report about a very well tolerated new contrast medium Myelografin. The side-effects are being decoded and compared with the side-effects of other contrast-media for lumbar myelography. Spinal or cerebral irritating effects have never been recorded. Due to the low neurotoxicity the patient can be put in supine position immediately after the examination. Therefore the side-effects are diminished and the examination is more tolerable for the patient.
