[A naturally occurring thermophilic strain of tobacco mosaic virus, isolated in Madagascar]. 1975

M T Gense

A strain of Tobacco Mosaic Virus was isolated from Tomato leaves grown in Madagascar, in the region of Tananarive. Its optimal temperature for multiplication is between 30 and 34 degrees C, which makes it thermophilic compared to the common strain. This strain, however, does not appear to be identical to the thermoresistant TC strain.
