Communicating bronchopulmonary foregut malformations (BPFMs) are uncommon congenital lesions which usually present in infancy with respiratory distress, which is exacerbated during feeding. We present an unusual case of bilateral oesophageal BPFM in an infant with multiple congenital anomalies.

D001994 Bronchogenic Cyst A usually spherical cyst, arising as an embryonic out-pouching of the foregut or trachea. It is generally found in the mediastinum or lung and is usually asymptomatic unless it becomes infected. D001996 Bronchopneumonia Inflammation of the lung parenchyma that is associated with BRONCHITIS, usually involving lobular areas from TERMINAL BRONCHIOLES to the PULMONARY ALVEOLI. The affected areas become filled with exudate that forms consolidated patches. Bronchial Pneumonia,Bronchial Pneumonias,Bronchopneumonias,Pneumonia, Bronchial,Pneumonias, Bronchial
D001998 Bronchopulmonary Sequestration A developmental anomaly in which a mass of nonfunctioning lung tissue lacks normal connection with the tracheobroncheal tree and receives an anomalous blood supply originating from the descending thoracic or abdominal aorta. The mass may be extralobar, i.e., completely separated from normally connected lung, or intralobar, i.e., partly surrounded by normal lung.
