[Effects of misoprostol, synthetic prostaglandin E1 analog, on secretion of TSH and thyroid hormones]. 1993

TSH stimulation tests were performed in 17 patients with gastric or duodenal ulcers. Before testing patients were given either 400 micrograms of misoprostol orally or placebo. TSH, T3, and T4 secretion after TRH was assessed. No significant effect of misoprostol on TSH, T3, and T4 secretion was found.
