1. The toxic effect of deltamethrin, asymmethrin, alphamethrin, cypermethrin and cypermethrin High cis in nymphs III of Triatoma infestans was lower at 28 than 16 degrees C. 2. Prostration in treated nymphs III occurred more rapidly at 28 than 16 degrees C. 3. Symptoms of poisoning rapidly disappeared when nymphs III intoxicated were moved from 16 to 28 degrees C. 4. Nymphs III exposed to low doses of pyrethroids at 28 degrees C, which did not show symptoms of poisoning, were rapidly affected when they were moved to 16 degrees C.

UI MeSH Term Description Entries
D007306 Insecticides Pesticides designed to control insects that are harmful to man. The insects may be directly harmful, as those acting as disease vectors, or indirectly harmful, as destroyers of crops, food products, or textile fabrics. Insecticide
D009570 Nitriles Organic compounds containing the -CN radical. The concept is distinguished from CYANIDES, which denotes inorganic salts of HYDROGEN CYANIDE. Nitrile
D009758 Nymph The immature stage in the life cycle of those orders of insects characterized by gradual metamorphosis, in which the young resemble the imago in general form of body, including compound eyes and external wings; also the 8-legged stage of mites and ticks that follows the first moult.
D011722 Pyrethrins The active insecticidal constituent of CHRYSANTHEMUM CINERARIIFOLIUM flowers. Pyrethrin I is the pyretholone ester of chrysanthemummonocarboxylic acid and pyrethrin II is the pyretholone ester of chrysanthemumdicarboxylic acid monomethyl ester. Pyrethrin,Pyrethroid,Pyrethroids
D000818 Animals Unicellular or multicellular, heterotrophic organisms, that have sensation and the power of voluntary movement. Under the older five kingdom paradigm, Animalia was one of the kingdoms. Under the modern three domain model, Animalia represents one of the many groups in the domain EUKARYOTA. Animal,Metazoa,Animalia
D013696 Temperature The property of objects that determines the direction of heat flow when they are placed in direct thermal contact. The temperature is the energy of microscopic motions (vibrational and translational) of the particles of atoms. Temperatures
D014224 Triatoma A genus of the subfamily TRIATOMINAE. Several species are vectors of TRYPANOSOMA CRUZI. Triatomas
