A unique method of combining teeth and endosseous implants for a stable removable prosthesis. 1993

E M Amet

This report documents a unique use of osseointegrated implants for preservation of a patient's remaining dentition after the loss of many teeth and presents the following ideas: how to combine natural teeth with endosseous implants by means of commercially available analogues and impression posts used in an indirect technique; how to have retrievability of the implant-connecting bar from the teeth and implants; how to be able to replace natural teeth at any time with endosseous implants should they be lost; how to have provisional restorations that are always fixed during the treatment phase; how to simplify the jaw relationship and prosthetic replacement of missing oral structures; and how to have a stable, removable, easily replaceable and maintainable, prosthesis.
