Description of the 3-in-1-Block (Winnie) as an effective method of anaesthesia in retrograde venous perfusion as one therapy in arterial occlusive disease. Additional recommendations are given to achieve a homogeneous distribution of the substances in the limb.

UI MeSH Term Description Entries
D007511 Ischemia A hypoperfusion of the BLOOD through an organ or tissue caused by a PATHOLOGIC CONSTRICTION or obstruction of its BLOOD VESSELS, or an absence of BLOOD CIRCULATION. Ischemias
D007866 Leg The inferior part of the lower extremity between the KNEE and the ANKLE. Legs
D008012 Lidocaine A local anesthetic and cardiac depressant used as an antiarrhythmia agent. Its actions are more intense and its effects more prolonged than those of PROCAINE but its duration of action is shorter than that of BUPIVACAINE or PRILOCAINE. Lignocaine,2-(Diethylamino)-N-(2,6-Dimethylphenyl)Acetamide,2-2EtN-2MePhAcN,Dalcaine,Lidocaine Carbonate,Lidocaine Carbonate (2:1),Lidocaine Hydrocarbonate,Lidocaine Hydrochloride,Lidocaine Monoacetate,Lidocaine Monohydrochloride,Lidocaine Monohydrochloride, Monohydrate,Lidocaine Sulfate (1:1),Octocaine,Xylesthesin,Xylocaine,Xylocitin,Xyloneural
D008619 Mepivacaine A local anesthetic that is chemically related to BUPIVACAINE but pharmacologically related to LIDOCAINE. It is indicated for infiltration, nerve block, and epidural anesthesia. Mepivacaine is effective topically only in large doses and therefore should not be used by this route. (From AMA Drug Evaluations, 1994, p168) Carbocaine,Carbocaïne,Isocaine,Isogaine,Meaverin,Mecain,Mepihexal,Mepivacain-Injektopas,Mepivacaina Braun,Mepivacaine Hydrochloride,Mepivacaine Monohydrochloride,Mepivastesin,Polocaine,Scandicain,Scandicaine,Scandinibsa,Scandonest,Mepivacain Injektopas
D009407 Nerve Block Interruption of NEURAL CONDUCTION in peripheral nerves or nerve trunks by the injection of a local anesthetic agent (e.g., LIDOCAINE; PHENOL; BOTULINUM TOXINS) to manage or treat pain. D010477 Perfusion Treatment process involving the injection of fluid into an organ or tissue. Perfusions
D011318 Prilocaine A local anesthetic that is similar pharmacologically to LIDOCAINE. Currently, it is used most often for infiltration anesthesia in dentistry. Propitocaine,Citanest,Citanest Octapressin,Prilocaine Hydrochloride,Xylonest
D006801 Humans Members of the species Homo sapiens. Homo sapiens,Man (Taxonomy),Human,Man, Modern,Modern Man
D001157 Arterial Occlusive Diseases Pathological processes which result in the partial or complete obstruction of ARTERIES. They are characterized by greatly reduced or absence of blood flow through these vessels. They are also known as arterial insufficiency.
