[Erythrocyte Na, K-ATPase activity during immobilization stress in rats differing in motor activity]. 1993

Wistar rats were divided into active and inactive by the open field test. The Na, K-ATPase activity of the active rats' erythrocytes was by 19 per cent higher. A decrease in the activity of the enzyme immobilisation stress reached 35% in active rats and 43% in inactive ones. Reasons of such changes in the Na, K-ATPase activity are discussed.
