[Effect of nitroglycerin on regulation of cerebral circulation]. 1976

Investigations carried out with the use of radioisotopic, electromagnetic and resistographic methods showed that nitroglycerine increased the cerebral circulation diminishing the tone of the intracranial vessels. The drug also markedly depressed the central regulation of the cerebral circulation; it suppressed the reflex reaction of the intracranial vessels and prevented the development of experimental disturbances of the cerebral circulation of adrenergic origin.
