[Neurinoma of the cervical vagus nerve. Apropos of a case--literature review]. 1993

A rare case of a high cervical mass bulging in the hypopharynx is reported. The clinical and radiological characteristics of these tumours are described and a review of the literature is included.

Histologically, these tumors are encapsulated, highly vascular, and composed of a homogenous pattern of biphasic fusiform-shaped cells that may have a palisaded appearance.
