[Cesarean section: frequency and indications]. 1993

O Uribarren Berrueta, and C Evangelista Salazar
ClĂnica Hospital, Dr. Miguel Trejo Ochoa, ISSSTE Colima, Col.

The rate of cesarean section in Hospital Clinic "Dr. Miguel Trejo Ochoa" during 1988 was 34.8%, greater than national and international reports, the principal diagnoses were cephalopelvic disproportion and previous cesarean section. 74% of the patients were between 20 and 30 years old. We need more clinical assessment to indicate a cesarean section, because it is a risk to health and it causes more institutional needs.
