[Results of irradiation in recurrent collum carcinoma]. 1977

W Husstedt, and F Oberheuser

From 1961 to 1970 82 patients with recurrent carcinoma of the uterine cervix were treated by Co60 biaxial pendular rotation therapy. The applicated dose was 4000 R, in some cases supplementary radium implants. This method of irradiation is especially suitable for treatment in recurrent cancer by the augmentation of the relative tumor dose. 46 cases were histologically confirmed, the others were parametric recurrences. The 5-year-survival-rate was 20.7%.
