Pressure sores in patients with acute spinal cord injury. 1995

The aim of this project was to establish the extent of pressure sore development in patients with acute spinal cord injury. The prevalence figures over a one-year period from February 1993 in one ward in a spinal treatment centre were examined. Problems with using different classification systems and definitions are discussed, together with the limitations of using manual data collection and the difficulties of making cross comparisons between studies.
