Burn injuries can be the most devastating wounds of all. Knowledge of burn wound healing can be valuable not only for the care of small, minor burns but improved wound coverage of major burns can also lead to improved survival. Differentiating between types of burns and how these wounds heal will be discussed. Strategies for treating patients with extensive burns will also be presented.
