Tianjin Second Hospital.

47 patients with bladder carcinoma were treated by microwave tissue coagulation (MTC) through urethra. The total effective rate was 100%. Among 43 patients followed-up, 17 had recurrence of the carcinoma 6-20 months after operation and received another MTC therapy successfully. This kind of treatment is indicated for tiny, multiple, scattered and reccurred tumor. It has advantages of safety, easy operation, fast effect, mild suffering. It is an ideal treatment for the patients who are intolerable or unwilling to accept major operation.
