[Early postoperative acute cholecystitis]. 1996

G V Aleksandrovich, and E V Nikolaev, and I G Dovgiĭ

Among the relatively rare complications occurring after various operations acute cholecystitis attracts particular attention. Its genesis is elucidated differently in the literature. In addition to the literature information discussed in the work, the authors, possessing experience in the treatment of 14 patients with such postoperative cholecystitis, give a clinical characteristic of its manifestations and recommendations in respect to its early diagnosis and surgical tactics. The authors claim cholecystectomy to be the method of choice and, in extremely aggravated cases, decompression microcholecystectomy.
