Report of the clinical history and the histopathologic findings of the globe of a 38-year-old male patient from Ghana. The clinical picture of sickle-cell disease and Eales' disease is very similar, however, the race of the patient and hemoglobin electrophoresis leave no doubts as to the correct diagnosis.
