This article reports an interview with Ronald M. Cervero, scholar in the field of continuing professional education and co-author with Arthur L. Wilson of Planning Responsibly for Adult Education: A Guide for Negotiating Power and Interests (1994). The substance of the interview elucidates the role of the manager of the continuing nursing educational experience. He discusses the concepts of negotiation, power, interests, and responsibility and how they impact the planning of continuing nursing education.
