[Clinical and electrophysiological study of voice changes in thyrotoxicosis (author's transl)]. 1977

M Malinsky, and Chevrie-Muller, and N Cerceau

Changes in the voice are described in 10 thyrotoxic patients. The quality in tone is altered, and frequently, the volume of the voice is diminished. Electrophysiological studies of the speech and of the laryngeal motility have been performed. These changes, which seem to be relatively common, may result from a mild bulbar muscle dysfunction.
