The average spermatozoa concentration in the ejaculate fell progressive even if sharply in the last 50 years. The azoospermia, described as the complete spermatozoa absence in the sperm, has a variable incidence between 10 and 20% in the clinical picture of the male infertility. The authors outline an etiological classification of the azoospermia and analyse the epidemiological and etiological aspects of the obstructive azoospermia.
