[Neuronal discharges of the rat auditory cortex during intracortical electrical stimulation]. 1996

The unit activity of the auditory cortex and the neuronal interaction were studied in anesthesized Wistar rats. The unit response to sound stimuli mostly consisted of the initial response and afterdischarges. Electrical microstimulation obviously induced changes in the afterdischarges. The latter reflected a neuronal interaction as well.
