The present paper reports on problems and results of treatment of urinary bladder carcinoma in 160 patients over 70 years of age. The 2-year survival rate was 44%, the 5-year survival rate was 19%. According to our results transurethral electroresection followed by high voltage radiation proved to be superior to other procedures in patients over 70 years of age.
