Investigation of hypertension in general practice. 1977

J O'Sullivan

The responsibility for identifying the hypertensive patients in the community and supervising their long term management is clearly the domain of the general practitioner. Having once decided that a patient's blood pressure warrants lowering, it is necessary that some form of routine investigation be carried out before treatment is started. A simplified approach to the investigation, collection and recording of the relevant data in these patients is outlined.
