We describe the case of a 75-year-old woman with adventitial cystic degeneration of the great saphenous vein. Involvement of the great saphenous vein has been unreported previously. Intravenous cysts containing mucinous material were found in the great saphenous vein. Histopathologic examination revealed mucus-filled cysts in the adventitia of the vein, and myxomatous degeneration of the adventitial connective tissue was found.
