After protection of the two sugar hydroxyl groups of 8-bromoadenosine, the products were converted to the arabinoside or xyloside, which were treated with diethy laminosulfur trifluoride (DAST) and acid to afford 2'-deoxy-2'-fluoro- or 3'-deoxy-3'-fluoro-8-bromoadenosine. 8-OH and 8-SH derivatives were obtained from 8-bromo congener.

UI MeSH Term Description Entries
D007202 Indicators and Reagents Substances used for the detection, identification, analysis, etc. of chemical, biological, or pathologic processes or conditions. Indicators are substances that change in physical appearance, e.g., color, at or approaching the endpoint of a chemical titration, e.g., on the passage between acidity and alkalinity. Reagents are substances used for the detection or determination of another substance by chemical or microscopical means, especially analysis. Types of reagents are precipitants, solvents, oxidizers, reducers, fluxes, and colorimetric reagents. D003839 Deoxyadenosines Adenosine molecules which can be substituted in any position, but are lacking one hydroxyl group in the ribose part of the molecule. Adenine Deoxyribonucleosides,Adenylyldeoxyribonucleosides,Deoxyadenosine Derivatives,Deoxyribonucleosides, Adenine,Derivatives, Deoxyadenosine
D000241 Adenosine A nucleoside that is composed of ADENINE and D-RIBOSE. Adenosine or adenosine derivatives play many important biological roles in addition to being components of DNA and RNA. Adenosine itself is a neurotransmitter. Adenocard,Adenoscan
D015195 Drug Design The molecular designing of drugs for specific purposes (such as DNA-binding, enzyme inhibition, anti-cancer efficacy, etc.) based on knowledge of molecular properties such as activity of functional groups, molecular geometry, and electronic structure, and also on information cataloged on analogous molecules. Drug design is generally computer-assisted molecular modeling and does not include PHARMACOKINETICS, dosage analysis, or drug administration analysis.
