[Disappearance of blood from cerebrospinal fluid following subarachnoidal hemorrhage (preliminary note)]. 1976

J Grela, and A Wawszczyk

On the basis of cerebrospinal fluid investigations in 17 patients with subarachnoideal haemorrhage admitted to the hospital in the time period from Nov. 1 1973 to March 15 1975 the authors observed that the blood disappears from the fluid usually 8 days after the onset and they suggest that control lumbar tap and angiography should be performed at that time for possible referral of patients for surgical treatment. From the 8th day on there is no need of administration of drugs increasing blood clotting.
