There has never been a more important time for home care nurses to be involved in the profession and in their local, state, and national communities. The opportunities for home healthcare nurses to serve as role models and leaders in the lay and professional communities are unlimited. This article discusses the importance of providing this leadership and gives examples nurses can follow to become more involved.
