[Hemangioma of the synovial membrane of the knee joint]. 1976

The data on 15 patients with hemangioma of the synovial sheath of the knee joint are reported. It is the author's opinion that surgical removal of the tumor is the most radical method of treatment for hemangiomas. Among 15 patients such procedure was accomplished in 6, in the remainder biopsy or partial removal of the tumor followed by radiotherapy were performed. Late results were followed up in 9 patients.
