Ureteral obstruction caused by endometriosis. 1988

J Rosenbeck, and B Himmelstrup
Department of Surgery, Nykøbing Mors Hospital, Denmark.

A case of endometriosis causing ureteral obstruction in a young woman was observed for 3.5 years. The conclusion is that early diagnosis is important and that intravenous pyelography must be carried out at the slightest suspicion. In some cases initial treatment with Danazol alone can be tried. Otherwise the treatment must be surgical, possibly combined with Danazol.
