In this study the influence of local inflammation on tcPO2 values at different electrode temperatures has been investigated. The measurements were performed on UV-erythema, contact dermatitis and other inflammatory reactions of the skin. Different types of inflammation and different degrees of damage can lead to very different reactions in the microcirculation and this will have an effect on the tcPO2 levels.
