UI MeSH Term Description Entries
D007041 Hypoxanthine Phosphoribosyltransferase An enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of 5-phosphoribosyl-1-pyrophosphate and hypoxanthine, guanine, or MERCAPTOPURINE to the corresponding 5'-mononucleotides and pyrophosphate. The enzyme is important in purine biosynthesis as well as central nervous system functions. Complete lack of enzyme activity is associated with the LESCH-NYHAN SYNDROME, while partial deficiency results in overproduction of uric acid. EC 2.4.2.8. D008297 Male Males
D008875 Middle Aged An adult aged 45 - 64 years. Middle Age
D009709 Nucleotide Deaminases Catalyze the hydrolysis of nucleotides with the elimination of ammonia. Deaminases, Nucleotide
D010430 Pentosyltransferases Enzymes of the transferase class that catalyze the transfer of a pentose group from one compound to another.
D011565 Psoriasis A common genetically determined, chronic, inflammatory skin disease characterized by rounded erythematous, dry, scaling patches. The lesions have a predilection for nails, scalp, genitalia, extensor surfaces, and the lumbosacral region. Accelerated epidermopoiesis is considered to be the fundamental pathologic feature in psoriasis. D011683 Purine-Nucleoside Phosphorylase An enzyme that catalyzes the reaction between a purine nucleoside and orthophosphate to form a free purine plus ribose-5-phosphate. EC 2.4.2.1. D011685 Purine Nucleotides Purines attached to a RIBOSE and a phosphate that can polymerize to form DNA and RNA. Nucleotides, Purine
D004817 Epidermis The external, nonvascular layer of the skin. It is made up, from within outward, of five layers of EPITHELIUM: (1) basal layer (stratum basale epidermidis); (2) spinous layer (stratum spinosum epidermidis); (3) granular layer (stratum granulosum epidermidis); (4) clear layer (stratum lucidum epidermidis); and (5) horny layer (stratum corneum epidermidis).
