[On the clinical picture of Asteroid hyalitis (author's transl)]. 1979

J Wilmes

The clinical data of 98 cases (104 eyes) of Asteroid hyalitis are reported and found to be similar to those of previous publications. As to etiology no certain evidence for an underlying general disease is available from the literature. The disease is found to be very rare in myopic eyes, which supports the occurrence of a local determinating factor.
