Benign and malignant epithelioid leiomyoma (leiomyoblastoma) of the stomach. 1979

Epithelioid leiomyoma (Leiomyoblastoma) is a smooth-muscle tumour most often found in the stomach. On the basis of 5 new cases and a short review of the literature, clinical aspects and pathology concerning this neoplasm are described. It is emphasized that malignancy is difficult to predict according to morphologic criteria and therefore follow-up on these patients is essential.
